Faulty goods & warranties

Contact the seller
If a product develops a fault, contact AKITAJP PRO using your order-confirmation channel or the correspondence address. Give the model, order details, symptoms and, where helpful, photos. Stop using an appliance if the fault may make it unsafe.
Diagnosis and return
We may arrange a reasonable inspection to identify the problem and the appropriate remedy. We will confirm whether the item should return to its original dispatch address or an agreed service centre. Diagnosis must not be used to delay or remove a remedy you are legally entitled to. For faulty goods, we arrange collection or cover reasonable return costs, including reimbursement where you pay them in advance.
Your rights under Irish consumer law
If goods are faulty when supplied and you exercise the short-term right within 30 days of receipt, you may reject them and seek a full refund; you do not have to accept repair or replacement instead. You may choose one if you prefer.
After that period, you generally have a choice of repair or replacement unless the option chosen is impossible or disproportionate. The remedy must be free, completed in a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Where a remedy fails, is refused or cannot be provided as required, a price reduction or termination and refund may be available. A sufficiently serious fault can justify a refund without first accepting a repair. A minor fault does not normally justify termination.
Refunds following a qualifying termination for faulty goods are made within 14 days after the returned goods are received, using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise, without fees.
Manufacturer warranty
A manufacturer’s commercial warranty is additional to your statutory rights against the seller. Product pages describe the applicable manufacturer terms; eligibility and duration depend on the model and type of use. We can help organise diagnosis and, as appropriate, repair, replacement or a refund under the applicable rights and warranty terms. Expiry of a commercial warranty does not by itself end statutory rights. We do not require you to deal only with the manufacturer.
Damage and misuse
A commercial warranty may exclude damage caused by misuse or failure to follow operating instructions. Such exclusions do not remove your rights for a fault for which the seller is legally responsible. Any proposed charge for an out-of-warranty service must be explained and agreed before work proceeds.
